আমরা জানি এমডিজি অর্থাৎ মিলেনিয়াম ডেভেলপমেন্ট গোল বা সহস্রাব্দ উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যমাত্রা পূরণে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাপক সাফল্য অর্জন করেছে। যার মেয়াদকাল ছিল ২০০০-২০১৫ সাল পর্যন্ত। এর পরই এসডিজি অর্থাৎ টেকসই উন্নয়ন লক্ষ্যমাত্রা বাস্তবায়নে জাতিসংঘের সদস্য দেশগুলোতে ব্যাপক চেষ্টা চলছে। যার মেয়াদকাল ধরা হয়েছে ২০১৬-২০৩০।

In the 15 years’ time frame of implementing  Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the youth of today will still remain fledgling but with better skills, insight, and aspiration.  The youths are the major beneficiaries and key stakeholders of the Agenda 2030. Hence, the potential of the youth needs to be valued supported by appropriate policies and their implementation for achieving SDGs.

The Citizen’s Platform for SDGs, Bangladesh is going to organise a day-long Conference titled Youth Conference 2018: Bangladesh and Agenda 2030 – Aspirations of the Youth on 14 October 2018 in Dhaka. The announcement came at a media briefing held on 1 September 2018 at CIRDAP International Conference Center.
